01 / The place

Valle, Reggello

“LA CONCA D’ORO”

A hillside where altitude becomes character.

My olive groves are located in Valle, a small hamlet in Reggello on the slopes of Vallombrosa, in the hills south of Florence, facing the Chianti.

At 500 metres, cool nights slow the ripening of the fruit, concentrating its aromas before the harvest. The result is an oil with structure, complexity and low acidity.

My name is Lavinia Seracini

I came back to care for what was already here.

Not an escape. A reminder.

After graduating in Economics in Milan, I spent a few years working in fashion before deciding to return to my grandfather's land. Today I divide my time between managing the business and working among the olive trees, learning from the land every day.

This is a long-term commitment: restoring abandoned olive groves and producing extra virgin olive oil with patience, consistency and respect.

A new generation

A return that looks forward.

After working for a few years in Milan in the fashion industry, I decided to return to my grandfather's land. Today I divide my time between managing the business and working in the field, spending my days among the olive trees and learning from the land itself every day.

This is not a lifestyle project or a romantic escape. It is a long-term commitment to restoring abandoned olive groves and producing extra virgin olive oil.

Organic by nature

A responsibility, not a label.

Certified organic farming has been part of my approach from the very beginning. I work without synthetic herbicides or chemical pesticides, relying instead on careful observation, manual labour and respect for the land's natural balance.

For me, organic farming is not a label to display, but a responsibility toward the landscape I cultivate.

The land I chose to bring back to life

Restoration takes time.

My fields lay still for a long time. I chose to start again from there, with patience and conviction. Every season is a step forward: clearing overgrown areas, tending the olive trees and restoring vitality to the soil.

I am not inventing something new. I am caring for something that already exists, and that deserves to keep living.

The identity of Reggello.

Reggello, known as the city of olive oil, has long been recognised as one of Tuscany's most renowned olive-growing areas. Here the land is steep, terraced and difficult to work.

The altitude and constant air circulation keep the trees healthy without forcing them, season after season. It is a slower, more demanding way to farm — but one this land has always required, and one that rewards patience with an oil of real character.
